Picture a void, an empty space yearning to be filled. It cries out over the airways. It begs for relief from the prurient depths of vulgar carnage into which cable television programming has fallen. “When – the heart calls – will I find solace from the filth?” Now hear a sound, tiny at first but growing louder, more resolute, “Herein lies the answer – ‘When Calls the Heart.’” . . .
