“Okay, I received a box today addressed to me from “The Hearties” and here’s what was inside — the longest, biggest birthday card ever created. Three complete handmade scrapbooks with handmade WCTH/Heartie- themed birthday greetings from all over the world. Honestly I’ve been working in film and TV for 30 years and I’ve never seen anything like this. I’m obviously honored that you chose me as the recipient of all this love, and I’m overwhelmed and nearly speechless by the thought, care, tons of hours and hard work that must have gone into this project. I can’t wait to read the sentiments on all 200-plus pages.
On behalf of all of us involved in this show, thank you, thank you to each of you who contributed a page from your town or Heartie gathering, along with chief rabble-rousers Cheryl Martin Pruett, Debbie Brooks, Lee Beth, Jill Ridge and the No. 1 Georgia Heartie, Jody Blosser.

Happy Birthday Brian!
This year’s Pot Stirrer event was a lot of fun, and the #Hearties really WOWed me with their response. My mailbox was overflowing with loving submissions for weeks leading up to the deadline. By the end of the event, I had a stack of responses 8 inches thick! and that’s not including the envelopes they were mailed in.
This awesome response is just a small indication of how special you are to us #Hearties in so many ways. Your interaction with us on the fan page has not only increased our love for you and your family, but it has increased our understanding of what all goes into the production of a TV show, and for that we can never express enough how grateful we are. You make being a part of the fan club extra special.
This birthday gift from the #Hearties is our way of saying thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you… for all you do!

PS – I want to take a few moments to recognize a few special #Hearties that went beyond just submitting an item for your gift:
Cheryl Martin Pruett – who came to my house on the final night and worked with me through the night to wrap up work on your gift. We finished at 4:39 am and we both had obligations to attend to the next day!
Debbie Brooks – who not only went shopping me with to help pick out the materials for your gift, but she lent me tools of the trade. She also spent several hours at my house helping put things together.
Lee Beth – Who volunteered to create submissions together for those #Hearties unable to make their own. She did a wonderful job on them!
The #Hearties that took time during their #Hearties Parties to put together some special group submissions.
Jill Ridge – Who has lived in LOTS of places, and sent submissions for several of them with interesting facts about each.
All of the #Hearties that sent in monetary donations, without which, this project would not have been possible.
All of the #Hearties that sent in page protectors, stamps and other items which helped reduce the costs on my end.
All of the #Hearties that put together the state divider pages, and/or sent me items for states, some of which were not their home state, especially when they took the time to travel to those states to pick up the items they sent.
