I have always felt that God brought this cast of people together to give us all a wonderful show that the
whole family could watch. And that is exactly what it has been. I thank them for that. However, I do
believe that the actors and producers are mis reading us when they say that each one of them is only
a small part of the whole. I believe that Jack and Elizabeth are the whole and the rest were wonderful side stories. We have been interested
in their journey from the beginning wanting them to get married, have a family, and go on with their lives,
with struggles along the way, but not death. When you take away a main character, how do you come
back from that. And, it is hard to go back and watch previous episodes, knowing that Jack is gone. I
know life brings changes, but had hoped Daniel could have stayed just one more season, and then
end the whole series on a high note. Right now I don’t think I can continue to watch, not seeing that
red serge jacket on the screen will be too painful. Feels like a real death. Hard for my grandchildren
too as they can’t believe this happened. Jack was a man’s man, but had a caring, loving side to him.
We need more of his strength and to think there will be one less man on the show concerns me. He was
a role model for many including my 2 grandsons. My heart is broken!!!
