I think Lucas has a checkered past. He showed up in town a wealthy man. Where did he get it ? I think the law will catch up to him before the wedding and the mounties will arrest him. By that time Nathan will have moved on. Elizabeth will find someone else.
I think it’s good that the writers took a different direction with Lucas. He seems a bit lost at times, making me wonder if something is going to happen to him, as it did to Jack. (I thought that the writers might decide to wait until one of the two suitors/actors decided they needed a change, as Daniel Lessing did, and then have Elizabeth choose the remaining one! I’m so glad they didn’t do that. After all, how many years passed (actually, as various seasons passed by) before Elizabeth and Jack finally married?!! ) I also wonder why Lucas got involved in the oil business, and whether he’ll find something more involving than the bar seems to be. All in all, I’m just hoping that everyone doesn’t move on. I was very happy when Elizabeth chose Lucas, as it would be nice to see a different set of adventures for both of them than another Mountie centered story.
I’d like to know why Elizabeth will go out to dinner with Lucas but every time Nathan asks her she has to “think about it”? Supposedly thinks it’s hurtful if Lucas sees her with Nathan but not the other way around. Yet she “cares” about both of them and can’t decide between them. Starting to become annoying. I would like to see her make a decision and I would like to see Abigail come back (Lori).

Yes I agree with you about the whole love triangle. I don’t understand why Hallmark did this because after Elizabeth Lost Jack the first man she seen was Nathan. homework should have just continued her and Nathan’s love story and never brought Lucas as a love interest in for her. Now what’s that being said I am team Nathan all the way but if she chooses Lucas she chooses Lucas and I’ll be glad that the triangle is over but if she does choose Nathan I can’t imagine how homework is going to do that. The way they have portrayed these two men throughout this love triangle you can clearly see how Elizabeth feels about Lucas and they have kind of pushed Nathan to the side. If that is what how much true intention was then they should never have brought anything into the picture to begin with because they have made look like a not very nice guy. Every time he’s around him and Elizabeth neither one of them will hardly say anything and that’s a shame because I think it could have been good watching just their love story throughout the season and watching Nathan open up to Elizabeth but Hallmark has kind of squashed that. He is so good with Ali and becoming her dad was just amazing and I think he would be amazing with little Jack and would be an amazing husband to Elizabeth. since he is a mountie I know that’s hard for people to think why would they put her with another mountie. Nathan will never ever replace Jack who I loved watching very much but he just fits the puzzle with Elizabeth so very well. She fell head over heels for one bounty let’s just continue the journey with another mountie. and if she does end up picking Lucas in the end please Hallmark stop making Nathan pine for Elizabeth and Allie. with Lucas it’s just himself but I see that he could get over it and find some other love quickly(not that I am saying Lucas is a player but he just seems like the type of person that could find another woman quickly)but with Nathan his heart will be extremely broken and so would Allie, they’d be breaking two hearts instead of one.
I totally agree with you about why Elizabeth will not go out to dinner with Nathan. That’s how the producers want it they want Lucas to look like this guy that everybody wants. The streamy guy and then they make Nathan look like a creep.
Actually, the actors, writers, and producers have told fans many times this season that both Lucas and Nathan are good men and both are worthy of Elizabeth’s love.
Well they should have never done this love triangle. But as we see she picked Lucas so what was the point of this with her and Nathan?
I had recently been told of the series a month ago and I have just completed all season in time to watch season 8 on February 21./21..
I am definitely hooked although I do feel there is an emptiness that lingers……Abigail ….. she needs to come back..
“Hallmark” represents a wholeness of Christianity, which represents forgiveness, kindness, love, compassion, humanity at the core of humbleness……I can’t imagine that the cast wouldn’t welcome Lori Loughlin back…..

Please bring back When Hope Calls. This is a fantastic wholesome TV show.
I love this show and I hope it never stops. I know characters need to leave and move on and that’s ok. I also know the show talks about closeness and forgiveness. You teach second chances. I feel that when Lori is out of trouble you should give her a second chance because that is a big point in your show. She did something bad but she paid for it to so we need to give her a second chance. I hope you take this serious.
I love this show too. I watch it with my grandparents every Sunday. I enjoy talking with them about what we think is going to happen in upcoming episodes. I was so excited when I heard it was renewed for season 8!
