When Calls the Heart
If you haven’t already, please join our When Calls the Heart Hearties Facebook Group
It is a place where adoring fans of Hallmark Channel’s original new series, When Calls The Heart, can gather and talk about our favorite show staring Erin Krakow, Pascale Hutton, Kavan Smith, Jack Wagner. Chris McNally, Kevin McGarry, and a full stellar cast. It is based on the Canadian West series from Janette Oke and directed by Michael Landon Jr and Brian Bird. This series has “called” and captured the hearts of many. Some of us like to call it “Love Comes Softly meets Little House on the Prairie.” It’s that kind of chaste romance combined with touching, uplifting family drama and reminders of the great virtues sadly missing on today’s TV.

I will continue to watch When Calls the Heart next season….to support a wonderful cast and a message that is simply not seen in television and movies much in these days….a message that yes….life is difficult at times but.their faith in God and encouragement and love for each other in a community sustains them.. I think it is very realistic to realize that life is difficult and people have troubles…. When Calls the Heart appeals to people in many situations of life…not all of them have happy endings. I lost my dear husband 2 years ago suddenly after surgery…..many difficult and sad days for me.. But I know that God is carrying me through each day, and family and friends surround me. Not everyone has that support, and I seek to reach out to others in difficult situations with the hope from God I have been given. When I watch When Calls the Heart….yes…I cry, but I also see the people of Hope Valley supporting each other. Young people continue to die today in serving their country. It shows the struggles the whole community has. I loved the Jack and Elizabeth story and am sad Jack is not on the show anymore. But I will continue to support this wonderful, family friendly series next year….and hope even more references to faith in God to sustain us will be a part of the script. Thank you to all involved in this wonderful series.
Jack was the heart of the show………bye bye Hope Valley!
I hope you have a chance to watch today’s Hallmark Channel USA Facebook Live with Lori Loughlin, Erin Krakow, Daniel Lissing, and Brian Bird. They answered so many questions that we Hearties have had. Dan announced that he had decided to leave the show. But Lori and Erin pointed out that there are so many more stories to tell. Hope Valley is still there and hope lives there!
i cannot believe that you killed off Jack. We waited so long for Jack and Elizabeth to fall in love, and then the wedding and now she’s pregnant, without Jack. What is the matter with you people.????? If you don’t resurrect him for the next season, we won’t watch anymore!!!
If Daniel knew he was going to leave the show before it started you should have cast a different actor. I’m really really upset.
We’ve been told that our questions will be answered tomorrow during the Facebook Live with Lori Loughlin, Erin Krakow, Daniel Lissing, and Brian Bird on Hallmark Channel USA’s Facebook Page at 6PM Eastern/5PM Central/4PM Mountain/3PM Pacific. All of them have been tweeting tonight asking us to tune in then. I plan to!
I am so with u on your comments. It is a rotten thing to do. I guess he had another show or movie lined up agaun.
I’m in shock that we waited so long for Jack and Elizabeth to man and wife for this to happen. We watch the show to forget all the sadness in the world and I’ll lifes, like I lost my Husband in 2011 after 36 years I want to see Jack and Elizabeth to have that HAPPENESS!!!!!!! I don’t know if I can watch anymore even if Elizabeth is pergnant. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE,BRING JACKSON BACK!!!!!!!!!!
I’m so sorry for your loss! Tonight’s episode was a tough one and I’m sure it was even tougher for you. We Hearties have been told that we will get more answers about tonight and the future of When Calls the Heart tomorrow during the Facebook Live with Lori Loughlin, Erin Krakow, Daniel Lissing, and Brian Bird on Hallmark Channel USA’s Facebook Page at 6PM Eastern/5PM Central/4PM Mountain/3PM Pacific. Lori, Erin, and Daniel will also be on Home & Family in Tuesday morning at 10 Eastern/9 Central, I’m anxious to hear what they will share with us!
I love the program however I cannot understand why they had to kill off Jack one of the main characters! I’m sure the show will not be the same. After all the love scenes and the wedding it comes to having Jack die in action. Not worth watching anymore
I know we all have questions like that. We are hoping for answers tomorrow during the Facebook Live with Lori Loughlin, Erin Krakow, Daniel Lissing, and Brian Bird on Hallmark Channel USA’s Facebook Page at 6PM Eastern/5PM Central/4PM Mountain/3PM Pacific. We’ve been told they will be addressing our questions and concerns about tonight’s season finale and the future of When Calls the Heart in season 6.
I agree – sorry When Calls the Heart. You and I parted ways as of the season finale. There is enough heartache in real life. I don’t need to deal with it in my “reality escape”.
I am hoping that when it ended last Sunday night…… is it possible Abigail was dreaming………. I pray…. Daniel adds so much to show….he and Drop in have been the foundation to When Calls the Heart……. It’s like building a house…. needs strong foundation to support everything else…..If Daniel leaves…. I see show crumbling… When Paul Greene was brought in to show made me worry about Daniel leavinfpg., A gorgeous man.., now I’m really wondering.,.
I have watched every episode from season 1- season 4 at least 6/7 times all the way through. I love ❤️ the show, the cast especially Jack, Elizabeth and Abigail/ Frank. Al of the cast are the most talented people that there is. I love each one . 3 of the best episodes are when Jack and Elizabeth were in the mine looking for Rip and the storm came when they told each other that they love ❤️ each other for the first time. When Jack proposed to Elizabeth and finally the Wedding , I can not believe that you are taking Daniel ( Jack ) off the show. I wanted to see Jack and Elizabeth come together in the next stage in their life as a married couple, see them build their dream home and start to raise a family. And by the way what ever happened to Rip . I love ❤️ everyone of the cast, they are all a wonderful group of people especially made for this show. I hope Jessie and Clara get together , I have even began to like Henry ( lol ) . I just could not stand to see Jack leave the show . Frank has already gone and I loved his story line. I was so happy that Abbigail had found someone to make her happy . The children in the show are wonderful and so talented. So as a loyal Heartie fan please don’t take Jack away !!!!!!! I am a loyal fan from the USA and I still watch seasoned 1-4 on Netflix. I can still sit down and have a WHEN CALLS THE HEART day and night of watching nothing else but this show.
If Daniel is off, we hope you’ll hang in there with us to find out why! All of us Hearties have so many concerns & questions! We’ve been assured that the answers to our burning questions will be answered in the season finale this Sunday night and on Monday in the first-ever, post-season finale Facebook Live with Brian Bird, Lori Loughlin, Erin Krakow, and Daniel Lissing on the Hallmark Channel USA Facebook page at 6PM Eastern/5PM Central/4PM Mountain/3PM Pacific.
I missed already. I’m on mountain time. How do I catch up. Personally, I hope Dan isn’t making a mistake? I heard an interview last week. In it he described how hard it is to write a script. Apparently he is trying to do just that? I don’t recall who the Interview was. Could be old news.
My family and I tolerated all the advertisements on the Hallmark channel to primarily watch the When Calls the Heart program. Now they allow the program to go to ruin. The advertisers, Hallmark and the remaining When Calls the Heart stories can count on me tuning in on other channels and programs. Hallmark channel is now blocked in my household.
I know all of us Hearties have so many concerns & questions! …. I am waiting to see what the reason for the season finale; which will determine if I continue to watch. I personally for myself need shows that foster families lasting and not having a reason why they end . I do understand that if the actor himself wanted to do other things with his life he obviously had a right to that choice. If that’s not the reason I think I’ll be done . The thing that I enjoy the most is you could expect an uplifting Ending to the various situations storyline.
Jack and Elizabeth storyline is one that gave you hope and expectancy that marriages make it through very difficult times with the marriages and families intact. To have that in the way I did it was very disappointing.
There’s no hard feelings against the writers directors if they just decided that this is what they wanted to do and it had nothing to do with that actor needing to go on to do other things, but once again I need something else I have some goals that require that I keep before me the things that I just mentioned above .
God bless you thank you for all the other shows that did give those things on the chance that I will need to stop watching
I will View The Facebook live with great expectations that I get to continue watching such a wholesome family oriented show. We shall see.
