Going into its seventh season on Hallmark Channel, When Calls the Heart is the network’s longest-running and most popular series. The frontier drama follows Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a school teacher from a wealthy family who takes a position in the small town of Coal Valley. The rugged town later changes its name to Hope Valley as the town recovers from the collapse of the coal mine—the town’s major source of jobs and industry.
